ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Cristalería For, S.L. contributes to the conservation of the environment.
The composition of our principal product, glass, is of natural origin, the principal ingredient in its manufacture being sand. Furthermore, the technological processes used today in its manufacture make it possible to minimise the impact on the environment. For example, the mirror we market currently is the SGG MIRALITE EVOLUTION, a new eco-friendly mirror made without copper or lead (paint content <0.5%).
The recycling of glass, which is a natural, long lasting and environmentally friendly material is carried out periodically by a specialist company that collects the waste that is stored in containers that are specially designed for this purpose.
Care is also taken regarding the impact our office material has on the environment. For example we use recycled paper and also recycle the toner cartridges from our printers, which are refilled by a company that specialises in recycling.
In addition, we sell products such as the SGG CLIMALIT, an excellent form of heat insulation that incorporates low emission glass that contributes to the saving of energy in buildings and, therefore, to the reduction in CO2 emissions. Nowadays it is necessary to put all our efforts into reducing the greenhouse effect that threatens to cause global warming. Spain, as a member of the European Union, is party to the Kyoto protocol commitments, whereby the Kyoto signatories have committed themselves to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 8% compared with 1990 levels.
We also market an effective noise insulation material, namely SGG CLIMAT with SGG STADIP SILENCE, which reduces noise pollution, a form of environmental pollution which is ever more intense in urban environments and which has been shown to be detrimental to health.Pamplona, on January 1, 2003
